Την Κυριακή 12 Φεβρουαρίου πραγματοποιήθηκε στο Staples Center του Λος Άντζελες η τελετή απονομής των βραβείων Grammy.
Οι υποψηφιότητες για την 59η τελετή απονομής των βραβείων Grammy ανακοινώθηκαν στις 6 Δεκεμβρίου 2016. Η Beyoncé βρισκόταν στην κορυφή της λίστας με 9 υποψηφιότητες ακολουθούμενη από τους Drake, Rihanna και Kanye West, με 8 υποψηφιότητες.
Μεγάλοι νικητές ανακηρύχθηκαν η Adele και ο David Bowie με 5 βραβεία και η Beyoncé με 2.
Στη σκηνή εντυπωσίασαν με τις εμφανίσεις τους η Adele, η οποία ερμήνευσε το “Hello”, και η εγκυμονούσα Beyoncé που ερμήνευσε κομμάτια μέσα από το “Lemonade”.
Ιδιαίτερη και συγκινητική στιγμή της βραδιάς ήταν το tribute της Adele στον George Michael, αλλά και η απονομή του Album of The Year που η γνωστή ερμηνεύτρια είπε με δάκρυα ότι έπρεπε να κερδίσει η Beyoncé.
